Editorial Policy

Editorial Policy

This policy describes the standards Worldlya uses to choose topics, research claims, present uncertainty, separate commercial interests, and correct errors.

Last updated: July 16, 2026

Editorial Mission

Worldlya aims to help international readers understand countries through clear, practical, and well-sourced explanations. We seek depth without unnecessary complexity and usefulness without pretending that one article can replace an official authority or qualified professional.

Topic Selection

Topics are selected according to reader usefulness, informational gaps, country coverage, public interest, and the need to explain unfamiliar systems. Search demand may help identify questions, but it does not determine the answer or override accuracy.

Research Standards

Writers and editors should identify the type of claim being made and use sources appropriate to that claim. Official rules should be checked against responsible authorities. Statistical claims should be traced to a dataset, report, or institution capable of explaining the methodology and reference period.

Our source hierarchy is explained in the Sources and Verification Policy.

Accuracy and Context

  • Dates, units, currencies, geographic scope, and reference periods should be stated when they affect meaning.
  • National averages should not be presented as universal local experiences.
  • Exceptions and regional differences should be included when they materially change the answer.
  • Estimates, projections, and interpretations should be distinguishable from confirmed facts.
  • Uncertainty or disagreement between reliable sources should be acknowledged rather than hidden.

Independence and Fairness

Worldlya does not allow a government, tourism organization, advertiser, affiliate partner, school, employer, or other outside party to purchase a favorable factual conclusion. Relevant viewpoints may be included, but false balance is not required when reliable evidence strongly supports one conclusion.

Content should avoid stereotypes, demeaning generalizations, fabricated local voices, and claims that reduce a diverse country or population to a single experience.

Commercial Separation

Advertising, affiliate relationships, and sponsored material must be identifiable. Commercial considerations may influence which projects are financially possible, but they should not alter factual standards, hide material limitations, or guarantee positive treatment.

See the Advertising and Affiliate Disclosure.

Artificial Intelligence and Software-Assisted Tools

Worldlya may use software-assisted tools, including artificial intelligence, for tasks such as organizing research, generating structural options, language editing, translation support, comparisons, or quality checks. Such tools are not considered authoritative sources and may produce errors.

Publication decisions remain subject to human editorial review. We do not knowingly publish fabricated quotations, invented field experience, false credentials, or unverified claims merely because a software tool produced them.

See the AI-Assisted Content Policy.

Dates and Updates

A visible update date should reflect a meaningful editorial change, not merely a technical save, formatting adjustment, plugin action, or template update. When practical, substantial corrections or material data changes should be described.

See the Content Update Policy.

Corrections

Credible correction reports are reviewed against relevant evidence. Material errors should be corrected promptly and transparently. Minor spelling, grammar, formatting, or link repairs may be made without a formal correction note.

See the Corrections Policy.

Reader Contributions

Reader reports can reveal local changes, broken links, unclear wording, and exceptions. They are valuable leads but are not automatically treated as verified evidence. Important factual changes should be confirmed independently whenever possible.
